Month number 2 with Albert Henry! We’ve been testing out nicknames for him. So far we’ve been using ‘Albie’ or ‘Buddy’. When pregnant I used ‘Bertie’ but it’s not stuck as much since he’s been born.
Milestones: He can push his chest up now with tummy time. Getting stronger with practice! He can even kick his feet and scoot forward a few inches. He’s started smiling at us which has been the absolute sweetest. 🥹 He coos at us when we talk and tries to laugh but hasn’t managed a full belly laugh yet.
Eating: We’re still doing a combo of formula and pumped breast milk. We all are getting over the month long cold from Thanksgiving and unfortunately my supply took a tank and hasn’t recovered well. I just keep pumping what I can anyways. At his 1 month appointment he weighed just over 9 pounds and I’m sure he’s pushing on 11 now. He feels heavy! 😂 We’ll find out next week at his next appointment.
Teething: No teeth to talk of yet.
Sleeping: He sleeps great at night but the day naps are like hit or miss, especially with sissy home from school on Christmas break. Naps are usually 1 hour-ish and at night he sleeps 4-5 hours at a time, waking 2-3 times at night to eat.
Wearing: Newborn sizes are starting to be retired and he’s fitting in to 0-3 or 3 month sizes much more comfortably.
Loves: Albert loves snuggle naps, eating, us goo-gooing at him, high contrast books, and looking at Christmas tree lights.
Savoring his small size while I can. 🥺
